My 100th book has just been published in the United States. It is called You Can Read Palms (Llewellyn Publications, 2010). It marks an important milestone for me, as it is my 100th published book, and my 40th book with Llewellyn Publications. Actually, I'm not sure if I can legitimately claim it as my 100th book, as I used to work as a ghostwriter and 20 of my books have other people's names on the cover. However, I still have 100 books out there - plus several more unpublishable books languishing in a drawer. |

I leave for Moscow and St. Petersburg in a few hours. I'm looking forward to it enormously. Russia is one of the biggest markets for my books, and I'm hoping to see and learn as much as possible in the two weeks I'm there. |

I received my advance copies of Prayer for Beginners this morning, and am thrilled with how beautiful it looks. Llewellyn's always produce attractive books, but this one is stunning. It is the first of my books to appear in the new look they have given their "For Beginners" series. It will be available in bookstores in the next few weeks. My next book with Llewellyn's is You Can Read Palms, which will be published in January 2010. I will post the cover here as soon as it is available. |

Recently, a journalist asked me how many languages my books had been translated into. I had no idea, and told him "about twenty." As a result of that interview I checked and found my books have been translated into 29 languages. They are: Bulgarian, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Swedish and Yugoslavian. |

At the 29th New Zealand Magicians Convention held in Auckland in December 2008, I was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award "in recognition of a lifetime dedicated to excellence in writing magical literature." I am very grateful to the Awards Committee of Magic New Zealand, and feel both honoured and humbled by this unexpected award. |
