Amulets and Talismans for Beginners
Saint Christopher medals, ankhs, birthstones, four-leaf clovers - all are examples of magical objects used for protection or to attract good luck. This book tells you all you need to know to make or find talismans, amulets and charms, and use them to improve your life.
I've always been fascinated with the power that lucky charms, amulets and talismans provide. Wearing a lucky charm subtly changes the way you approach everyday life, and this, by itself, can attract good things to you. Amulets provide protection, and wearing or carrying an amulet will give you more security and confidence. This, also, can change you whole approach to life. Talismans are especially prepared to attract to you whatever it is you want. Preparing a talisman forces you to think seriously about your goals and aspirations. Charging the talisman further cements these desires into your being, and wearing or carrying the talisman will attract them to you. Charms, amulets and talismans all have the power to enhance your life in many ways.
This book is different to other titles on the subject, as it is a practical, step-by-step guide that requires no previous knowledge. Rather than write a comprehensive guide to the subject, I have concentrated on a smaller number of practical charms, amulets and talismans that you will find effective and useful. I have also brought the subject up to date to make it relevant for people living in the 21st century. Medieval talismans are fascinating, and were highly effective in their day, but we need not limit ourselves to them. All the way through the book I have tried to remove the unessential parts of the old to make the book relevant for today.
I have spent a great deal of time in the Far East, where amulets and talismans are used all the time. I have included what I learned there in this book, and much of it has never appeared in print before. Yantras, an extremely popular form of talisman in India, are a good example. They have the advantage of being quick and easy to make, and can also be prepared for a variety of needs, such as attracting love and money. “Amulets and Talismans for Beginners” has a complete chapter on this form of talisman.
I've included other aspects of this subject that have not appeared in print before. The combination of numerology with gemstones is an example. The Huna and pendulum methods of charging a talisman have not appeared in print before, either.
My aim was to write a practical, yet basic, introduction to a subject that is normally covered by serious, sometimes intimidating, tomes. I have tried to make it simple, easy to understand, and entertaining. If you want more luck, protection and success in your life, this book provides practical tools to help you achieve these goals.
